Hello Paolo,

My name is Brian Tucker and I am a Masters student in geography at the University of Victoria. My research is on the cultural implications of the Salish Sea place naming. I am conducting interviews for this project and wonder if you'd be willing to be interviewed. If so, please get in touch me with me at the attached email address.

Much appreciation, Brian

Hi John - it's wonderful to hear from you. Thanks for your lovely comments! Wasn't Gruberova incredible? Coloratura assoluta, indeed. I'm so glad you enjoyed the show. VCR does indeed agree with me, most of the time, although I cannot abide rain, which is problematic, especially in November...Hope you are well, best, Paolo.

Hi Paolo- what a terrific show; loved every minute. Dramatic power AND irony. You can palpably hear Donizetti developing his skills in the figurations in the vocal and, (particularly) orchestral lines. Gruberova: coloratura assoluta (sp?) Another under-performed treasure (and there are quite a few!!) As you said - a thrill. Two. actually, for me: your hosting was first-class! So good to hear languages pronounced correctly and so mellifluously. I remember you fondly and am proud to have worked with you. Would you accept the job of host if it became available? You are perfect. Hope you are happy and well and that life in VCR agrees with you. Best regards, John

As usual, you and Chris did a marvellous job. Your production design even captures the immensity and 'space' of time!

I'm starting to see a trend though with scientists on the Ceeb (I especially notice it on Quirks...): they start off with jargon, and then when they get called on it, they revert to some über-simplified analogy. I shouldn't be too hard on them; it gets the point across, after all. I guess it takes an exceptionally gifted scientist to explain science without resorting to analogies!

Did you say 'Hank Williams', the country singer? ;)

But seriously, good stuff, PPP. You should try to make a visual documentary of this too...
